Recognize Infectious Diseases, Get Tested Before It's Too Late

Thu, 9 Jul 2026

Infectious diseases remain an important health concern in Indonesia. Several conditions that still need attention include Acute Respiratory Infection, Tuberculosis, Dengue Fever, Malaria, HIV, and Sexually Transmitted Infections. Each condition may present different symptoms and requires specific examinations, making early detection an important step in maintaining health.

Acute Respiratory Infection is commonly marked by cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat, and shortness of breath. To support diagnosis, several examinations may be performed, such as a respiratory panel, influenza panel, PCR testing based on medical indication, and thorax radiology when needed.

Tuberculosis is also one of the infectious diseases with a high number of cases in Indonesia. Symptoms that should not be ignored include cough lasting for two consecutive weeks, prolonged fever, unexplained weight loss, and night sweats. Supporting tests may include Acid-Fast Bacilli staining using sputum samples, Tuberculosis Rapid Molecular Testing, and MTB PCR.

For Dengue Fever, NS1 Antigen testing may help detect infection in the early phase. Meanwhile, Malaria can be diagnosed through ICT Malaria laboratory testing. HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections often do not show symptoms in the early stages, so screening tests such as Anti-HIV can be an important step for early detection.

PRAMITA provides various examinations to help support early detection of infectious diseases. Do not wait until symptoms become more severe. Get checked and consult healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate examination. For more information, Sahabat PRAMITA can contact Sapa PRAMITA or visit the nearest PRAMITA branch.
