No Sahur, No Problem?
Mon, 3 Apr 2023Muslims prepare their bodies for a day of fasting by eating a nutritious meal and drinking enough of water before dawn, or Suhoor, during the holy month of Ramadan.
Suhoor is considered an essential meal for refueling with enough of vitamins and minerals to keep our bodies active and healthy up until iftar.
The following are some advantages of Suhoor:
1- Suhoor maintains the blood sugar level and stimulates the digestive system.
2- Suhoor minimizes the feeling of exhaustion and laziness and provides the body with the energy required for work, education, prayer, and other daily activities.
3- Especially during the lengthy fasting hours, it keeps the body's overall homeostasis.
4- Eating a balanced and healthy Suhoor meal will help prevent hunger and thirst, provided that it doesn't include salty, fatty, sugary, or spicy foods, as these items are hard on the digestive system, make you sweat more, and make you thirsty.
5- - It protects people from any problems caused by a lack of water or food, such as headaches, dizziness, constipation and other problems.
To fully enjoy the benefits of fasting, try not to miss the Suhoor meal during Ramadan, which is stressed by all doctors.
