Calories for Eid-special dishes

With great enthusiasm, people all around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr and enjoy in a variety of special food offerings.

But please do aware that some of the unique Lebaran meals offered at the table frequently have a high calorie content.

Call it liver-fried chili sauce for ketupat, chicken leeks, beef rendang, beef stew, or nastar.

Below is a comparison of the caloric content of some popular Eid dishes

•        Nastar :  75 kcal per piece

•        Calories of fried beans per gram: 151 kcal

•        Calories of Opor Ayam per serving: 392 kcal

•        Calories of Spicy Coconut Beef per serving: 468 kcal

•        Calories of Beef stew per serving: 337 kcal

•        Calories of Spicy and Sweet Sautéed Beef Liver per serving: 346 kcal

•        Calories of Ketupat per five pieces: 176 kcal
