Spiritual Parenting
Sun, 31 Mar 2024Hello, Moms! Let's talk about children's spiritual intelligence but in a relaxed manner! Spiritual Intelligence (Spiritual Quotient/SQ) is the ability to connect with God, do good deeds, worship, be patient, and be grateful. Ramadan can be a perfect time to enhance your little one's spiritual intelligence. Let's delve into it!
Understanding the Aspects of Spiritual Intelligence
Spiritual intelligence can help children tackle everyday problems. That’s why it should be taught early on. Unlike academic intelligence, spiritual intelligence has three important aspects. Check them out!
Humility: Children need to grow up being humble so they don’t become arrogant or feel superior. With humility, they can learn more.
Responsibility: Teach children about responsibility so they understand their life's purpose.
Happiness: Yes, this is also part of spiritual intelligence. Teach children that happiness isn’t just about material possessions but also simple things in life.
Teaching Spiritual Intelligence During Ramadan
You can teach spiritual intelligence during Ramadan too! Let’s start here:
Explain Fasting: Tell them what fasting is and why we fast during Ramadan. Teach them about patience and self-control.
Gradual Training: Help children practice fasting from a young age. Start with half-day fasts then gradually move on to full-day fasts.
Eat Suhoor: Remind children to have Suhoor (pre-dawn meal). It makes fasting more energizing and promotes family bonding.
Teach Honesty: Instill honesty in them; honest kids will admit if they break their fast, so don't scold them instead encourage them to keep trying.
Remember, a child’s spiritual intelligence develops over time. Happy teaching goodness in Ramadan! ? #SpiritualIntelligence #Ramadan
