Right Exercise for people with Bronchitis
Mon, 30 Nov 2020
Bronchitis is inflammation that occurs in the respiratory tract (bronchi) which can cause bronchitis symptoms, such as persistent cough or shortness of breath.
With this condition, many people who suffer bronchitis avoid exercise because they are afraid of fatigue and are unable to catch their breath.
Exercise has many benefits for overall health and lung in particular because it allows muscles to be more efficient and use less oxygen. Thus, it can help reduce some of the symptoms of bronchitis.
If a person is well hydrated, exercise can also loosen nasal congestion and open sinuses.
It is recommended to start with a more gentle workout, or a reduced version of the exercise to help the lungs slowly rebuild strength. Cutting a workout's normal duration, frequency, and intensity in half is a good starting point for many.
The following are exercises recommended for those recovering from acute bronchitis or with chronic bronchitis include:
1. Yoga
2. Cycling
3. Lift Weights
4. Swimming
5. Tai Chi
6. Fast Walk
7. Stretching
8. Light Gymnastics
However, you should immediately stop exercising if your shortness of breath becomes more frequent. In addition, when exercising, you need to be more sensitive and listen to your body.
