THE IMPORTANCE OF KNOWING WOMEN'S REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
Since long time ago, health problems have become an important issue and not all complaints experienced by men and women are always the same. In fact, sometimes there are several diseases with the same symptoms, but the treatment process and the side effects it causes for women can be different.
Following are women's health problems that often occur:
1. Breast Cancer
There are about 1.67 million cases of cancer that occur in the world, of which 883 thousand cases attack developing areas and 794 thousand others in developed areas, while in Indonesia the number of cases has reached 58,256 cases.
2. Cervical Cancer
Dr. Falvia Bustreo, as assistant director for family, women and children's health at WHO, said that there are about half a million women who die from cervical cancer.
3. Autoimmune Diseases
Autoimmune disease is a health disorder in which the immune system, which is supposed to fight infection, attacks healthy cells in the body. Lupus, multiple sclerosis, rheumatism, and psoriasis, are several types of autoimmune diseases, and 75% of them affect women.
3. Reproductive Health
Quoting from the WHO website, reproductive and sexual health problems take up one-third of all women's health issues aged 15-44 years.
There are 2 parts of the reproductive organs in women, namely the inner part consisting of the ovaries (ovaries), fallopian tubes, uterus (womb), cervix (cervix), and vagina. While the outer part consists of the labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, vestibule, hymen and perineum. If there is a disturbance in these parts, the female reproductive system can experience disorders. This can have an impact on the emergence of sexual disorders so that it is difficult to get pregnant.
To Maintain the Health of the Reproductive Organs can be done by cleaning the organs properly, consuming healthy and nutritious foods, managing stress, maintaining weight, stopping smoking, avoiding alcoholic drinks, getting adequate rest and carrying out regular health checks on reproductive organs in order to get a diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible if the risk of serious conditions is found.
