HPV DNA examination for early detection of cervical cancer

To detect cancer, it is not an easy matter, especially at the initial stage that rarely shows any symptoms. Therefore you feel something unusual, don't be taken lightly, pap smear is not enough!

Pap smear is proven to reduce mortality from cervical cancer through a routine screening program. However, Pap smear is not enough.
Examination with a higher level of sensitivity for cervical cancer screening, namely the examination of HPV DNA.
HPV DNA examination is required for:

1. Knowing or absence of HPV infection.
2. Helps identify high risk HPV infections, so that it can be known for a risk factor in the direction of cervical cancer.
3. In women aged> = 30 years, it is recommended to increase the examination of HPV DNA on routine screening other than Pap smear.
4. Doctor may give the right action decision, in the right time for women who are at risk of developing in the direction of cervical cancer.
Examination of HPV DNA is done by examining genetic material (DNA) Human Papilloma viruses in cervical cells. This examination procedure is only for detecting high-risk HPV types and is not used to diagnose health problems caused by low-risk HPV types, such as genital warts.
The requirement to carry out the HPV DNA examination includes:
▪Avoid sexual intercourse Minimum 3 days before the test 
▪︎ Don't use a tampon or use a cream or vaginal cleaning soap and not having menstruation.
The examination material used is cervical cells (Cervical Cells) taken from the cervix.
