HEALTHY TIPS BEFORE RAMADHAN

Fri, 8 Apr 2022
One way to carry out the detoxification process or the removal of toxic substances in the body naturally is to fast. However, this detoxification process will not be optimal if it is not balanced with healthy tips, namely the application of a healthy lifestyle during the month of fasting or Ramadan.
Many studies have been carried out to prove the many health benefits of fasting in Ramadan. In Indonesia, the average person fasts for 14 hours, where the body will feel weak so that food intake during sahur and iftar as well as habits carried out during fasting are very important to note.
Things that need to be considered as healthy tips when carrying out fasting worship, including the following:

1. DON'T MISS SAHUR
Just like breakfast, sahur is the most important part of increasing energy intake throughout the day until it's time to break the fast, and eat right at dawn by paying attention to balanced nutritional intake.
2. WATCH BALANCE NUTRITION
Namely by consuming complex carbohydrates such as brown rice, wheat, and oats; consuming high fiber such as dates, whole grains, vegetables and almost all fruits especially apricots, prunes, papaya and bananas; and consume protein (eggs, cheese, yogurt or low-fat meat) which helps increase energy throughout the day.

3. FULFILL THE NEEDS OF FLUIDS
Most of our bodies consist of water. Drink at least 8-12 glasses of water a day (when breaking the fast until dawn) to help the body stay fit and not get dehydrated.
Avoid caffeine, because caffeine is a diuretic which makes us urinate more often, so fluids are lost more quickly.

4. EAT ENOUGH AND STAGE
The most awaited time is breaking time. But immediately eating a lot of food when breaking the fast will make the stomach bloated and full. Start with light foods, such as fruit, after a while you can consume main meals in appropriate portions.
5. AVOID OIL & SPICY FOOD
So that the stomach does not work hard to digest food.
Foods with excess fat and oil can cause sluggishness and fatigue and lead to poor health if consumed in excess, while spicy foods can cause stomach pain due to friction on the surface layer of the stomach which becomes more fragile and causes sores.
6. REDUCE SWEET FOOD & DRINK
'breaking with the sweet'
This understanding must be balanced with correct information. Drinks and foods that are high in sugar will increase the acid in the body. Drinks and sweet foods that we consume regularly during Ramadan will actually cause weight gain.
A fit body is the energy expended is greater than the energy entered.
In addition to doing healthy tips with the right diet, of course, balanced with adequate rest and regular exercise during Ramadan.
