Aphasia occurs after the patient has had a stroke or head injury. However, aphasia can also develop gradually if a brain tumor or dementia causes it.
2. What are the Symptoms?
• Speak in short or incomplete sentences.
• Speak in incomprehensible or nonsensical sentences.
• Replace one word with another or one sound with another.
• Saying unrecognizable words.
• Does not understand what other people say.
• Write sentences that are incomprehensible or don't make sense.
3. How is it treated?
There are two ways of treatment for this aphasia #sahabatpramita
1. Speech and Language Therapy
This therapy improves the sufferer's ability to communicate by recovering as much language as possible, teaching how to restore lost language skills, and finding other communication methods.
2. Medicines
Medicines usually given are medicines that work to increase blood flow to the brain, increase the brain's recovery ability, or help the function of chemicals in the brain (neurotransmitters).
