4 Mandatory Nutrition for Children's Suhoor

It is good to train children to fast if it is done from an early age so that children can understand the obligations of fasting. But the role of the mother is also important to pay attention to adequate nutrition for the growth and development of health.


Mothers need to prepare a well-balanced nutritional diet for suhoor. Here are some essential nutrients to fulfill when a child is fasting.


In children, a full day of fasting is not required. Practicing fasting gradually can be done by parents while still paying attention to their children's health conditions.

1. Protein

Protein plays a role in every tissue formation and body repair. Mom can give additional nuts or meat so that the child also remains energized during fasting.


2. Iron

Children need iron because the volume of blood produced higher in the child's body for their growth. Mom can prepare slices of bread and cereals that are rich in iron for their suhoor menu.


3. Calcium

Not only for bones, calcium is also needed for children's dental health, helps blood circulation, and activates enzymes that help absorb nutrients from the food and drinks they consume. Mom can prepare foods high in calcium, such as whole wheat bread, cereals, milk, yogurt, cheese and broccoli.


4. Vitamins A, C, D, and E

These four vitamins are what children need most in their growth period. These vitamins can be obtained by eating vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes, oranges, strawberries, mangoes, spinach, broccoli, etc.
