Padang, February 14, 2026 — The West Sumatra Branch of the Indonesian Gynecological Oncology Association (HOGI) held the 2026 World Cancer Day (WCD) Symposium with the theme "HPV-Cervical Axis: From Oncogenetic Pathways to Vaginal Microbiome Enlightenment" at the Mercure Hotel Padang. The event was attended by the Governor of West Sumatra, H. Mahyeldi Ansharullah, and involved specialists, general practitioners, and residents.
PRAMITA Padang was entrusted with the responsibility of implementing self-registration for participants. This symposium served as a forum for updating knowledge on cervical cancer and the latest research developments, while also strengthening academic and clinical synergy in an effort to improve the quality of healthcare services based on early detection and a comprehensive approach.
